Art. 1 The Competition is open to all european composers without limits of age, sex, ethnicity and culture.

Art. 2 Each candidate can participate in only one section and with only one work.

Art. 3The composer must be in possession of an academic qualification equal to or greater than the Lower Complement of Composition (enrollment and frequency of the current Composition Triennium) or other Musical Discipline, produced and issued by any european musical institution. In the absence of this title, the commission reserves the right to award the prize.

Art. 4 The work must not exceed 8 '(eight minutes).

Art. 5 The selected text, published or unpublished, can be reported in any language of the European Union (inserting any translation in English).

Art. 6 The literary content of the text can be of any kind, provided it does not offend the public modesty.

Art. 7 The work is open to any instrumental staff (even doubling) from a single voice up to a limit not exceeding the number of 8 (eight) musicians and / or choristers excluding the solo voice.

Art. 8 The works must be sent insured no later than the first week of October (4.10.2020, the postmark is authentic) to the following address:

Competitors must attach a declaration stating:name - surname - academic title - home - telephone - e-mail address.

Art. 9 The style of the opera is absolutely open to any historical or current musical genre.

Art. 10 The works must be sent in a single copy including all the detached parts, in paper format and it is not necessary to attach any type of digital copy. The competitor's name and surname are clearly visible on the title page of the work.

Art. 11 The composer must not send the audio recording of the work.

Art. 12 The author of the literary part can be living or not. In the latter case, and if it is not a work in the public domain, the composer is asked to obtain a license from the entitled parties and attach the permit together with the work presented.

Art. 13 If the single prize of the competition is not awarded, the works that, on the opinion of the Commission (the names of the commissioners will be made known before the deadline for the call), are worthy of receiving an Honorable Mention will be made public.

Art. 14 The registration fee is € 60.00 and is in no case refundable. Pay the sum by postal order addressed to:

Art. 15 Only the winner of the competition will receive a prize of € 1000.00 together with the public execution of the same on a date to be assigned.

Art. 16 The Artistic Director reserves the right to modify the aforementioned announcement, unless sudden communication by e-mail to all competitors. For any legal matter, the Court of Mantova is a reference.The
